Connex

My monthly train ticket expired on Thursday September 12 2002. I tried to renew this at Ashford Station with effect from Monday September 16, but was informed that this was not possible and that I would have to come back on or after Saturday September 14. As I only work Monday to Friday and have no occasion to visit a railway station at weekends this means that I will have to arrive at the station considerably early on Monday September 16 as I have no idea what kind of queues to expect. It would appear that Connex's rules do not exist to serve the paying passenger.
