I am of the opinion that Connex should have its rail operating license withdrawn immediately. This company provides a truly dreadful service. It's trains are frequently late, overcrowded and dirty - if they run at all. Connex is among rail operators in the South East to face fines of £20 MILLION for operating too many trains which run late. The fines are farcical as the government (I.E. YOU AND ME) is stepping in to pay £58 MILLION to enable the company to continue operating. Connex is said to be making enormous losses and executives now say they cannot continue to operate while losing so much money. The firm's franchise is now due to finish at the end of 2006 rather than in 2011. FOUR MORE YEARS AND MILLIONS MORE POUNDS IS TOO LONG AND TOO MUCH. Connex is among South East operators set to increase prices in the new year by almost TWICE THE RELEVANT INFLATION RATE. Last month the boss of Connex, whose services to London commuters have been so bad it was sacked from the South Central franchise last year, was awarded a 63% pay rise. Connex, which continues to run the South-East commuter franchise, lifted chief executive Olivier Brousse's pay from £95,000 to £155,000. Connex treats its customers with total contempt. After an appalling performance throughout the month of November I complained to the company only to be informed that compensation was not payable as not payable as I would receive a reduction in my next monthly ticket. I, like a suspect a good many others, am a contract worker. There is no guarantee I shall be working in the same place next month. As delightful as it will be to have no further dealings with this awful outfit it also means that the b*stards will pocket the compensation that should be ours. Shame Shame Shame - Connex Roast In HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
