I live in a flat over 3 floors in Wincheap, Canterbury. The tenants in flat 3 moved out leaving the front door on an open latch. God knows how they did it but they managed to jam their intercom system so the dorr was always open, I suppose they initially wanted this to be the case as they were moving furniture. After they were gone the door was stll open so I told the Letting Shop could they get their internal keys and open the flat to take it off permanent open. I have no idea how they did it but they managed to lock me and my partner out of our flat. We were literally left homeless with the option of either an expensive locksmith or breaking a window for entry. We slept at the local priests house in desperation, had no food or cash and went to work the next day rather unkempt. The Letting Shop opened the door the next day but there was no offer of apology for the crap we had to put up with. I could list 7 or 8 other things (broken washing machine dumped in our front room for the first 6 weeks, broken taps not fixed for 2 months) but won't. Suffice to say, don't ever ever use the LEtting Shop. |
