I recently ordered some goods which were to be delivered by Parcelforce. As I was away at the time of the first delivery attempt I received a card instructing me to call to arrange re-delivery. It took two hours and numerous attempts to get through to the office before I was informed of a delivery date and given the unspecific and helpful time range of 7am to 2.30pm. I arranged to be at home on the designated day but was surprised to find only one parcel was delivered instead of the three I was expecting. I called the supplier and was told all parcels had been despatched to Parcel Force and was given a reference number. Again I made numerous attempts to phone the Parcelforce office but was unsuccessful so I had no alternative but to visit the office in person. There I was kept waiting for around an hour while an officer searched for my goods. At the end of the said period he told me he had found one parcel but that the other was missing. After contacting the supplier again they kindly agreed to send a replacement, but of course I had to wait another week to receive it. I am a busy person and have to make special arrangements to be at home or for someone else to be at home to receive parcels. I am left with a very poor impression of Parcel Force for i) losing an item ii) failing to answer the telephone number they instructed me to call iii) failing to deliver the parcel that was at the office with the one that was delivered and iv) being unable to provide a more specific time slot for deliveries. As a result of this experience I will be most reluctant to make use of
Parcel Force for any future parcel deliveries that I may require and would
strongly advise other readers to consider taking their business elsewhere
as this dreadful company is obviously unworthy of our business or trust.
